Since technology is advancing faster than any normal person
can keep up I do believe that Web 2.0 technology is great. As a teacher I will
be able to keep a wiki open for all of my students. With that wiki I am available
to my students around the clock in some fashion. Web 2.0 allows me to be able
to upload websites that I believe are very helpful for my students to use. One
of the main perks of Web 2.0 to me is if student's get sick I will be able to
help them while at home. For a student to be able to post a question on wiki
that allows me to reply with either a website or even be able to Voice Thread
to help the student keep up to date. I only wish that this technology was available
to me while I was in school.
I did not think about "if" a student gets sick, I would be able to use wikis to interact with the student.

ReplyDeleteYou mention the students getting help at home. I also think that parents will also be able to follow along and also be able to read up on what their kids are having problems with and get them the help they may need. I believe that a teacher working with the parents could help the student so much.

I agree, and no doubt, the advent of all this new Web 2.0 technology will aid everyone. If the parent has a question for the teacher, they can simply log onto the wiki or Voice Thread and ask themselves. It is definitely getting very convenien to accomplish things with these new tools.
